Berklee student Alexander Abdulah will be featured on the GBH digital mural this Wednesday, April 12, as part of the station's acknowledgement of Autism Acceptance Month. The image of Abdulah will be displayed on the station building, located on Guest Street in Brighton, visible to passersby and drivers on the Mass Pike inbound to Boston. The outlet will also spotlight Abdulah and the Berklee Institute for Accessible Arts Education (BIAAE) with a post on its website.

Abdulah, an 18-year-old multi-instrumentalist and singer diagnosed with autism and ADHD, has been a student with the BIAAE for many years. He plays lead guitar in the program’s Rock Band Ensemble, and is taking private piano and guitar lessons as well as a class in music history.

Abdulah was recently selected for the BIAAE’s Nurturing Leaders Program, an initiative that prepares participants for a career in performing arts through career-readiness classes, mentorships, and paid internships. Abdulah will represent the BIAAE as a performing ambassador in fall 2023.
