Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.

Collaborating with other students on my own productions and songwriting ideas, participating in several Berklee showcases and events, and working inside the Berklee studios.

When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?

One of my favorite classes has been my CWP [contemporary writing and production] major class called Vocal Writing. I really enjoyed learning and creating my own arrangements as well as a cappella arrangements each week. Recording, producing, and hearing the final product of each one was [a source] of great excitement and satisfaction.

What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?

Boston has a great environment full of students. It has been incredible to experience all winter, fall, and summer, coming from Bogotá, Colombia. There is also a great diversity of people from all around the world, so you will always find someone with your same ethnicity.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?

Have fun, be prepared, and show off what you are most comfortable in. Be confident, read the website, and show why you really want to be at Berklee and how you would be a good fit in the community.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

The 150 Massachusetts Avenue building.

Why did you choose Berklee?

Because I knew Berklee is a college where I can truly learn about the different paths in the music industry, study different contemporary music majors, and network. And because it's the best college of music in the whole world.

What are your plans for after graduation?

Moving to Miami or L.A. and working as a producer and singer-songwriter.

What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?

Being involved in all of the process, recording my vocals, rehearsing for many weeks of the semester, learning from the other students, being in front of an audience, gaining new experiences, and so much more.

Where do you hope to perform this coming year?

I hope I can perform in the Berklee Performance Center and collaborate with students.
