Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
So far, my favorite Berklee experience has been playing at the caf with some of my best friends at the college. The best part about Berklee is by far the amount of amazing musicians from all over the globe that you get to meet.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
So far my favorite classes have all had a lot to do with how great the teachers were. My PI class specially was one of my favorites of the week because of how involved and attentive my instructor is.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
Boston is a great city to study in, mainly because of how many different colleges are located there. The environment of the city is very friendly to college students and it makes for an ideal place to study.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
Be sure to be yourself in the application process. A lot of people tend to forget that Berklee has to be the right fit for YOU as well, not only the other way around. You need to be yourself so you can be sure that Berklee wants you because Berklee believes they can do something for your growth as a musician.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
Definitely the 1140 basement; the facilities for drummers there are insane.
Why did you choose Berklee?
I chose Berklee because it provides the broadest amount of opportunities for musicians like myself, who want to meet and learn from experienced and like-minded musicians from all over the world.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I plan to either work at Berklee (OPT) or look for performing and teaching jobs either in Boston or Spain (I have a lot of family there).
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?
I love the professionalism that Berklee students and staff bring to the table. Before Berklee, and I’m sure most musicians experience this, I had no assurance of whether a certain gig would encounter me with people with the same level of commitment or responsibility, but at Berklee that has not been a problem.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
Berklee Performance Center, definitely.
