Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.

My favorite experience has been performing in the Latinx Voice Recital at the Conservatory! It is so enriching getting to explore different repertoire from Latin America and then performing it in front of your peers. Singing in my first language with my fellow Latinx classmates is so liberating and exciting, and I can't wait to do it again this upcoming spring.

When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?

When I think of my favorite class and why I loved it so much, the first thing that pops up in my head is the professor and their attentiveness. Luckily, each professor I have had has been so eager to teach us and help us grow as musicians. They make our daily classes exciting and enriching by showing us how much they love music and teaching it.

What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?

My favorite part is seeing the seasons change and walking through the city. I love seeing the motivated people on the streets and being able to walk wherever I want. It's also fun being able to try new fashion trends and play with different clothes throughout the year.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?

I would definitely advise you to keep an open mind and keep yourself motivated to do the hard work. Try to stay as organized as possible and do your work in advance to avoid last-minute stress. That way you can spend more time exploring the city with your friends and practicing self-care.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place is the Albert Alphin Library at 8 Fenway. It's such a beautiful space filled with music books and kind people! It's a great place to do homework or study with friends. You can find me there in the fall as a library student assistant.

Why did you choose Berklee?

I chose Berklee because it provided me with the best opportunities to grow and learn from others. At my audition, I immediately felt a sense of belonging and warmth. I immediately felt a connection to the school and knew that this is where I wanted my path to go.

What are your plans for after graduation?

After graduation, I hope to go to school for my master's in voice performance. I hope to keep studying voice and to explore the business side of it as well. I want to be able to perform and travel, and then manage my own opera company one day.

What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?

I've enjoyed the wonderful support that my fellow colleagues have provided! It is so uplifting seeing such talented artists consistently supporting you and inspiring you to keep dreaming big in the arts.

Where do you hope to perform this coming year?

I hope to perform on the Boston Conservatory Theater stage and at the Old South Church again.
