Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.

My favorite Berklee experience is probably one of the ensemble end of semester shows that I went to with some Berklee friends. It was for a Neo-Soul Ensemble Class and they performed some incredibly challenging pieces and did them so well; I was in awe. So either that or performing "Jason's Song" at an open mic were probably my favorite experiences so far!

When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?

My professors have been absolutely incredible. There is so much to learn from them and they are such genuine people. It's honestly about the environment created by the combination of individuals in class and teaching styles of our professors. At the end of the day, my favorite classes have been enjoyable because of the gratitude we share for those around us, the positive energy we all bring, and the respect and support we give to one another!

What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?

It's just an all-around gorgeous city, so that is probably my favorite part. I can walk out of my apartment and feel so lucky to be in the city, close to campus and Newbury Street and walk to the Boston Public Garden or Charles River Esplanade anytime I want.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?

Being a musician is hard and it really requires you to step out of your comfort zone. I know I am trying to push my limits every day, so my piece of advice is also my life motto: Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

You have incredible things ahead of you, if you give yourself the chance to get there.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is in the ensemble rooms!

Why did you choose Berklee?

I knew I wanted to come to the  no. 1 school for contemporary music, and given that Berklee is a world-renowned college, I knew it was the place where I would grow immensely as a musician. I also chose Berklee because I knew I would have the opportunity to build so many connections and have a stronger understanding of what my career will look like after Berklee!

What are your plans for after graduation?

I plan to move to Charlotte, North Carolina, and focus on playing shows and establishing my brand as an artist. Then I'll move to L.A. in a few years!

What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?

I've enjoyed the support from fellow students and honestly, just the thrill. It is immensely fulfilling to perform.

Where do you hope to perform this coming year?

I would love to perform at the BPC this year!
