Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
My favorite Berklee experience so far has been recording in the studios and getting to overlap that with music education through recording Boomwhackers.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
My favorite class so far has to be Scandals and Vandals. I enjoyed this class so much because of the energy and enthusiasm that the professor (shout out Ross Bresler) brought to the material which made it more engaging and interesting.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
My favorite part about studying and living in Boston is that there are so many great places to visit within the city like the Christian Science Center, the Public Garden, and the North End, just to name a few.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
Come in with an open mind and be willing to try and explore everything. You may come in with a clear vision of what you see yourself doing but it is important to allow that vision to be fluid and influenced by the different experiences you will have. Take advantage of every opportunity; you may discover a new musical avenue that you become very passionate about.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus would have to be the quiet lounge as it's a nice space that as the name suggests is a silent workspace. It can be a nice break from the constant sound all across campus.
Why did you choose Berklee?
I chose Berklee because as someone pursuing music education, I wanted a place that would provide me with a musician's take on education rather than an educator's take on music. Music is quite clearly the essence of this school and as an aspiring musician this just felt like the place for me.
What are your plans for after graduation?
My plans for after graduation are to become an educator in a school system while also continuing to perform on the side as well as developing my production skills both for other artists as well as my own work.
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?
Performing with my Berklee peers has been my favorite part of the live shows I've been involved with here. There is just this certain energy that is wonderful to feed off of that comes from performing with people so passionate about music.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
My performance goal for this coming year is the BPC.
