This year, the Mediterranean Music Institute's spring concert will be a musical journey from North Africa to Spain and Portugal. Featuring a carefully selected repertoire by contemporary composers, the concert will explore the evolving landscape of Mediterranean music, where ancient traditions blend with modern styles.

The program includes works by composers such as Anouar Brahem from Tunisia, known for his fusion of Arabic classical and folk music with jazz; Moroccan singer-songwriter Oum, whose music blends traditional Moroccan styles, Gnawa, and Hassani rhythms with Afrobeat, soul, and jazz; and Algerian singer-songwriter Souad Massi, considered the Tracy Chapman of Maghreb, among many others.
