Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.

My favorite experience has been participating in the opera. I love getting to be part of the rehearsal process and interacting with the graduate students and learning how the rehearsal process will work when I graduate.

When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?

My favorite class has been my opera workshop class. We do so many different things in it, from acting lessons to performance coaching, to opera scene preparation. I feel like I am learning so much and I enjoy the variety of the class.

What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston? 

I like being in a city and all of the museums and shows I can go to see, but also there are still so many college students around and it feels like a giant college town.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?

I would tell incoming students to take every opportunity you can to learn from your classmates. We are all coming from very different backgrounds and you don't only have to look to faculty for advice.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus in the basement lounge in 8 Fenway.

Why did you choose Berklee?

I really loved the collaborative environment of the school. They encourage us to work with students in other divisions and create non-traditional performance opportunities.

What are your plans for after graduation?

I plan to take a gap year and work at an arts outreach organization and then go to graduate school for opera performance.

What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?

I really enjoy the community you build with the people you are in a show with. Everyone gets very close when you spend so much time together.

Where do you hope to perform this coming year?

I hope to be in another opera at school or at a summer program.
