Fall (September) and Summer (May) Enrollment Deadlines

Summer Program Participants

Optional Early Audition and Interview for Select Pre-College Programs

Summer Program participants have the opportunity to audition early for Berklee College of Music undergraduate degree programs. The online application for summer and fall admission becomes available on July 1. You must submit your application in order to schedule an audition during the summer. See the Undergraduate Audition Opportunities at Berklee Summer Programs page for more details.

  • Application due: July 20, 2026
  • Auditions/interviews: July 25 and August 1, 2026
  • Supporting documents due: September 15
  • Admissions and aid decisions issued by: October 15
  • Deposit due: April 1 for summer semester; May 1 for fall semester

Early Action (Nonbinding)

Receive your admissions decision and financial aid information months sooner while keeping the flexibility to compare offers. Early Action is nonbinding, and applicants receive the same scholarship consideration as Regular Action.

  • Application and supporting documents due: November 1
  • Auditions/interviews: August through January
  • Admissions and aid decisions issued by: January 31
  • Deposit due: April 1 for summer semester; May 1 for fall semester

Regular Action

Regular action refers to Berklee’s standard timeline for receiving applications and issuing decision notifications. Regular action is a good fit for you if you need extra time to prepare your application or audition and/or interview materials.

  • Application and supporting documents due: December 1 for summer semester; January 15 for fall semester
  • Auditions/interviews: August–March
  • Admissions and aid decisions issued by: March 1 for summer semester; March 31 for fall semester
  • Deposit due: April 1 for summer semester; May 1 for fall semester

Why Choose Early Action?

  • Get your admissions decision early. Berklee publishes Early Action decisions by January 31, giving you a head start on planning.
  • Same scholarships, more time. Early Action applicants receive their financial aid and scholarships award alongside their admissions decision, giving you more time to compare offers and build a sustainable plan for financing your education.
  • Keep your options. Early Action is nonbinding (unlike Early Decision elsewhere) so you can still apply to other schools and retain full choice until the deposit deadline.
  • Smoother logistics. With an early admission decision, you can travel, and, if applicable, take visa steps with less stress, months before Regular Action decisions are published.
  • Earlier next steps. The Early Action timeline gives you more time to plan to attend admitted-student events, learn about and connect with our community, and complete enrollment action items before you arrive on campus.

Note: The spring term does not offer Early Action; please follow the term-specific timeline below.
