Requirements for Berklee Online Audition and Interview

Please note, we expect a high demand and will have limited space available.  Due to limited availability and our connection requirements, applicants may be scheduled for an in-person audition and interview despite preference for an online audition and interview.  

Internet Speed Requirement

Required speeds to be scheduled for an Online Audition and Interview:

  • Download speed: 500 kbps
  • Upload speed: 500 kbps

Be sure that when running this test, it is on the same computer and internet connection you plan to use for your online audition and interview.

Applicants should use an ethernet connection as opposed to wireless connection for optimal performance.

Audition Room Requirements

Applicants will be able to audition in the comfort of their own location but must have access to:

  • a private room without interruption;
  • a computer with internet connection and audio/video capability (laptop with built in audio/video preferred, no mobile/tablet devices);
  • headphones for use during the online audition and interview; and
  • all instruments and accompaniment needed to participate.

  • Intel Core2 Duo CPU 2.XX GHz or AMD processor (2 GB of RAM recommended)
