Ian Wilkerson

A board-certified music therapist, Ian Wilkerson '07 is the founder of Bay Area Music Therapy(Opens in a new window), an organization offering individualized music therapy programs and wellness services with several studios throughout the San Francisco Bay area, where he grew up.

Wilkerson graduated from Berklee with honors in 2007, receiving a bachelor of music degree with double majors in music therapy and songwriting.  During his time at Berklee, he sat as president of the board for the New England Region Music Therapy Association for Students(Opens in a new window), and worked as a therapist while completing five practica and a clincial internship at the Community Music Center of Boston(Opens in a new window).

A person-centered therapy provider, Wilkerson specializes in supporting self-expression, creativity, and self-empowerment, and is a member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) (Opens in a new window)and also certified as a neurologic music therapist. Ian has toured the country with Infinite Frequency and is now devoted to promoting wellness through music therapy in the corporate and community settings.
