Kayla Cashetta is a composer and producer who works in the realms of electroacoustic, experimental, and electronic music. Her work has been performed at venues and festivals, such as the Center for New Music, the New York Festival of Song, the Fridman Gallery, ManiFeste, and Festival Empreintes. She has worked with ensembles, including the Quince Ensemble, Eco Ensemble, Splinter Reeds, and Longleash. In 2018, she was named a winner of National Sawdust's inaugural Hildegard Competition for female and non-binary composers, where she wrote and performed a new work with Lidiya Yankovskaya and the Refugee Orchestra Project. Cashetta holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.M. from the State University of New York at Purchase. She has also participated in IRCAM's Cursus Program on Composition and Computer Music from 2019 to 2020. Current and upcoming projects include a solo EP and the debut release of her experimental pop duo, Little Biche, in collaboration with That Brunette.
