Songwriter and guitarist Steve Kercher of Ipswich, MA, wrote and recorded "The Friend of Africa," a single featuring the African Children's Choir, which has been nominated in the Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year category at the Gospel Music Association's Dove Awards.

Singer and composer Shin Hyuk of Korea cowrote "One Less Lonely Girl" for up-and-coming Canadian teenage singer Justin Bieber, which ranked 16th on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The opportunity helped Hyuk become a producer with EMI Music Publishing, where he has been working with diverse artists, including Devin Johnson.
