Program Development and Implementation
We work collaboratively with our partners to develop programming that best meets their needs. Our process is as follows:
- Assess the identified area of need provided by the communities we serve. We then develop music-based programming focused on improving health and wellness within the community.
- Act and implement music-centered services with a culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach.
- Measure impact of our programs through the development of health-centered outcome evaluation tools.
- Evaluate outcomes through research collaborations to ensure programming success and sustainability.
Current Programming
Ukulele Kids Club
We provide music therapy and wellness support groups for children and adolescents led by clinical music therapy experts within Berklee's Music Therapy Department.
Ukuleles and learning materials are provided by the Ukulele Kids Club. The initiative will help improve the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children who participate.
The therapy groups and instruments will be provided to children at no cost, and are open to all children with chronic health conditions or other well-being challenges who would benefit from continued clinical music therapy. The initiative is part of the UKC's new UKC at Home program, which attempts to provide a continuum of care for medically fragile children once they are homebound.
