Liam Rutter Stokes is a longtime educator with a master's degree in education and autism endorsement from Lesley University and a bachelor's degree in studio art from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and he's a licensed English language arts teacher. He serves as a special education teacher for Boston Public Schools, working with students with a variety of educational and social-emotional needs. He also serves as the public policy coordinator for the Massachusetts Council for Exceptional Children. He's dedicated to promoting inclusive and equitable practices for all students, and his areas of interest and expertise include autism, mental health, coteaching, literacy, education policy, intersectionality, social-emotional learning, restorative justice, and building trauma-informed schools.
