This course provides an overview of the characteristics, etiology, and prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Students will examine the psychological, physiological, neurological, social, behavioral, communicative, and learning characteristics of ASD. Instructional supports and strategies, as well as collaboration with individuals, families, professionals, and community will also be explored.
