Acknowledged as one of the Top Women Music Executives in 2019 by Billboard, Nina Webb is originally from the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire and graduated from Emerson College with a B.A. in communications and marketing. She has spent her 25-year career on the front lines of the music industry in New York City. Primarily at the top iconic major record labels, Columbia Records and Atlantic Records, she's passionate about marketing and artist development as well as mentoring young staff.
For the last eight years, Webb was the senior vice president and head of marketing for Atlantic Records in New York City, managing a team of 10-plus marketers reporting directly to the label chairman. She worked closely with hundreds of artists on the label's pop rock roster, a leader and collaborator with all label departments and external management teams for all global campaigns.
Webb oversaw all brand and creative strategies for the artists and built intricate global marketing campaigns for artists, including Paramore, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monáe, Death Cab for Cutie, and Melanie Martinez. She also executed campaigns for many developing artists, such as GAYLE, Jax Mason, and Matt Maeson.
Her career started outside of Boston, where she was the northeast marketing manager for alternative rock and developing artists under Sony Music. Given the opportunity to run the historic Sony Music college department, Webb moved to New York City and ran the department for more than five years, overseeing hundreds of college students nationwide and executing local and national campaigns for hundreds of alternative rock and developing artists for Epic Records and Columbia Records.
Eager to share her experience and knowledge, Webb is currently a music industry coach and marketing and brand consultant. In addition, she is now teaching at Berklee College of Music, helping to guide and educate the next generation.
