The David Friend Recital Hall, located in the Genko Uchida building at 921 Boylston Street, is a semicircular performance space with a horseshoe-shaped balcony, designed by architect Shizuo Harada.

The Electronic Production and Design Senior Showcase features the work of graduating students from the Electronic Production and Design Department. Alchemy celebrates the beautifully blurred line between classical and popular music. Vocalist Rebecca Shrimpton and pianist/composer Herman Weiss perform American art songs by jazz and classical composers, including Charles Ives, Ornette Coleman, Florence Price, and Duke Ellington, as well as new original works. These uniquely American songs bend genre boundaries by uniting masterly compositional structures with traditional hymns, spirituals, early popular tunes, blues, and jazz.
The 25th Solo/Duo Faculty Guitar Night features faculty from the Guitar Department in solo and duo settings. Kim Perlak and Sheryl Bailey, chair and assistant chair of the Guitar Department, will share the stage with colleagues who perform in the classical, jazz, fingerstyle, folk, funk, slide, modern improvisation, and blues styles.
Al "Al Kapeezy" Kapone is a multi-talented, multi-platinum rapper, award-winning songwriter, accomplished producer, dedicated mentor, and community service advocate. He serves as the music consultant for the Memphis & Shelby County Film and TV Commission and was the first-ever hip-hop artist to be named president of the Memphis chapter of the Recording Academy (the Grammys) from 2007 to 2009.

The Latin Vocal Series is a concert produced by Berklee alumna and Voice Faculty Gaby Cotter showcasing the work of 10 talented vocalists selected through an audition process. The concert will present their original compositions and personal arrangements of music from Latin America. A Berklee house band will accompany the performers.
