Berk Recital Hall

The Lee and Alma Berk Recital Hall is located on the ground floor at the 1140 Boylston Street building. It was named in honor of Berklee's founder Lawrence Berk and his wife Alma. The venue hosts hundreds of events each year, including faculty concerts, senior concerts, and visiting artist clinics and master classes. Events are free and open to the public, giving the Boston community an opportunity to hear the rich and diverse talent that resides on campus.

Following the debut of Queen D. Scott's "The Black Book Cypher," a three-movement multimedia hip-hop composition, members from Berklee's Association of Faculty and Staff of African Descent (AFSAD) and Berklee Black Scholars Initiative (BSI) will "join the cypher" and respond to Scott's work with live performances of their original works.
