I feel it is of the utmost importance for each student to feel so connected to their educational success that they bring their authentic selves to the learning process. I also believe that it is my responsibility to provide a foundation for each student to build upon, stretch themselves, excel, fall, get up, and then reach every goal that they set for themselves."
"Each student has a unique set of attributes that they bring with them. It is my role as their instructor to tap into that uniqueness and meet each student where they are. My teaching style supports varied learning styles as well as present techniques that are drawn from real-world application. I will cultivate the individual. I will spotlight each student's special qualities. I will encourage individuality and support authenticity. Be you and let everything else fall in place. Through a healthy singing technique, I want each student to come away with an applied understanding that you are enough."
"Through my 16-plus years of professional singing and acting, I have gained many tools that support a healthy singing technique and a grounded acting technique. This approach draws from a place of honesty and vulnerability; connecting technique to text and creating performances that are both moving and thrilling. I will bring an open mind, supportive spirit, a keen listening ear, consistency, professionalism and preparedness everyday. It is my hope that, as a role model, I will inspire students to also bring similar characteristics—their A game, if you will, to the classroom. Hopefully, this set of characteristics will become a part of who they are and will inform their artistry and create a platform of beautifully informed music. It is my desire to instill in each student the keys to create their own lasting legacy."
