Two Track is a music video series designed for Berklee’s YouTube and social media channels that features artists in an intimate setting with only one microphone and continuous camera takes. Each recording session will revolve around a single theme (i.e., connection, love, dreams) that can be expressed by the artist either through their track selection or through a short storytelling segment that will be recorded as part of the performance. The videos in this series will premiere at specific dates and times, but if you miss the premiere, each video will remain public on the channel.

This Two Track episode features singer-songwriter Nina del Río presenting the songs "Amorcito Veranito," her own composition arranged by Andrés Gonzalez Cardona, and "Paloma" by the Aca Seca Trio with additional arranging by herself and friends.

About the Artist

Deep in the mountains of Argentina, echoing across the rooftops of Brooklyn, a hypnotic melody feathers into your ears. Listen closer, and you might recognize the vocal stylings of indie singer-songwriter Nina del Río. Nina's influences are rooted in the timeless music of Caetano Veloso, Billie Holiday, Mercedes Sosa, and Luis Alberto Spinetta. She maintains a deep respect for her idols while creating a fresh sound with newer references like Kali Uchis, Frank Ocean, Rosalía, Ca7riel, and Moonchild. Her inspirations all serve as vehicles to creating dreamy soundscapes, unique to del Río's artistic universe. Crafting distinctive lyrics from a young age, Nina spent her childhood split between two worlds. After graduating from Laguardia High School of the Performing Arts, the young artist traveled to Argentina, where she lived and studied amongst musicians and family. After soaking up the vibrant music scene of Buenos Aires for two years, she returned to the U.S. to begin her studies as a scholarship recipient at Berklee College of Music. She is continuing to hone her craft, studying Songwriting and Latin American music with artists such as Claudia Brant (Grammy and Latin Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter), Susan Rogers (legendary engineer of Prince and David Byrne), Eguie Castrillo (virtuoso percussionist that has performed alongside Tito Puente, Arturo Sandoval, and Jennifer Lopez), Janice Pendarvis (singer with Sting, Roberta Flack, Harry Belafonte) and Javier Limón (produced for Paco de Lucía, Andrés Calamaro, and Bebo Valdés). Her music is available on all streaming platforms.

Her band features Thiago Wolf and Dani Beck on cello, Michael Dunaway on electric bass, Mia Zeta, Tessa Wilson, Sofia Fernandez, Emma Werthein, Fran Winer, Mercedes Escobar, Paula Srur Carcar, and Chaiah and on vocals.
