At this master class and clinic, presented by associate percussion professor Jerry Leake, learn about North and South Indian percussion solos; merging rhythm theory and practice; compositional forms; and improvisations.
Leake, the cofounder of the award-winning world music ensemble Natraj, performs with Club d'Elf and the Agbekor Society. His world rock/fusion octet Cubist has gained national recognition. And on tabla, he has accompanied Ali Akbar Khan, Steve Gorn, Sharafat Ali Khan, and Chitravena Ravikiran, to name a few.
