The Peace and Justice Arts Cafe
Supported by the Faculty Led Innovations in Education (FLY) Grant at Berklee College of Music, liberal arts professor Linda J. Chase will direct the Peace and Justice Arts Cafe, featuring music, dance, and theater students speaking out for justice and engaging in dialogue through diverse styles of performative expression.
The event will conclude with an interactive discussion on how the arts can inspire positive action. The Peace and Justice Arts Cafe seeks to initiate dialogue and educate how the arts can engage in social transformation and ecological justice. Student performers have participated in preconcert workshops focusing on sustainability, ecoliteracy, and peace education to inform the creative process and explore ways to articulate issues and concerns.
