Berklee India Exchange (BIX) is much more than an institute at Berklee. BIX is a movement led by a passionate community of artists, educators, and innovators who share the vision of a world connected by art, curiosity, compassion, and individual social responsibility. It is home to the renowned Berklee Indian Ensemble.
Imagination and creativity make our world richer and more meaningful, and so, every project, every endeavor, and every pathway we build is intended to ignite a creative spark in people’s lives, no matter what their background or life path.
BIX is currently funded solely by philanthropy. We invite you to be part of this movement. Your gift supports student scholarships, touring opportunities, workshops, and visiting artists in addition to allowing BIX to continue creating world-class content. Berklee India Exchange Giving Circle
The Berklee India Exchange Giving Circle is a community of supporters of life-changing performance opportunities, global music education, and the cultural exchange of India-inspired music.
There are five tiers available to support BIX:
Tier 1: Friends and Family — $50
Perfect for those who love our music, support the BIX mission from afar, or are nostalgic for their time in the organization, the Friends and Family tier is an excellent way to make an immediate impact in daily BIX operations.
- If you share your Instagram handle with us, you will be added to our “Close Friends” list for exclusive stories and behind-the-scenes content.
Tier 2: Advocate — $500
Through this membership, you'll join a community who supports our mission to provide musical and educational experiences to everyone. Your $500 membership will help us partially cover the cost of supplies and resources, as well as fund events and programs.
- You'll receive the benefits of the Friends and Family tier as well as exclusive updates on our latest projects and performances.
- Plus an invitation to attend our annual “Team Talkback” Zoom webinar.
Tier 3: Patrons — $1,000
As a patron, you'll have access to all the benefits of our Friends and Family tier, but with additional perks. Your generous membership will help us expand our reach and bring music education to even more people.
- You'll receive early-ticket access to our in-person events and sold-out performances, recognition in our programs and website, and priority seating.
Tier 4: Catalysts — $2,500
As a Catalyst, you'll have access to all the benefits of our Friends and Family and Patrons tiers, but with additional perks. Your generous membership is the spark that makes our larger projects possible.
- You'll receive exclusive invitations for one private event or performance of your choosing. Options include workshops, listening parties, rehearsals, studio sessions, music video recordings, and after parties, both in person and online.
Tier 5: Visionaries — $5,000
As a Visionary, you'll be a crucial part of our mission to create a more musically and educationally enriched world. Your membership will provide us with the resources we need to make significant progress toward our goals. This is in addition to all the benefits of our other membership tiers.
- You'll have the opportunity to meet with our leadership team and be clued in to our vision and mission updates during an annual BIX Visionaries Forum.
- You'll receive exclusive invitations online—and in-person if you're local—to private events and performances such as listening parties, rehearsals, studio sessions, music video recordings, and after parties.
- Plus recognition on our social media platforms and publications.
- These benefits are valued at $200.
