For a decade, Berklee India Exchange (BIX) has delivered live concerts with immersive technology, world-class video content, industry-relevant music workshops, and career pathways for our students and alumni. With a strong focus on community building, BIX continues to forge deep connections with our global audience in the Indian diaspora while also helping to shift mindsets about careers in the arts.
The future of BIX is bright, with Grammy aspirations, a world tour, and stadium concerts by the Berklee Indian Ensemble; launching Berklee’s first Indian music online learning platform; and continuing our mission to identify, support, and nurture the South Asian artists of tomorrow.
A viral sensation with almost 200 million views of their videos, the Berklee Indian Ensemble is one of the most visible professional acts to have emerged from the college.
Iconic musicians such as Grammy winners A. R. Rahman and Ustad Zakir Hussain mentor and perform with Berklee students during week-long artist residencies.
BIX offers industry-relevant educational programs online and in person, covering both Indian and global music concepts.
BIX has fundraised over $2 million in merit and need-based scholarships for higher education studies in music at Berklee’s global locations.
