Berk Recital Hall

This is the twenty-third edition of the Guitar Department Faculty Solo/Duo Night, a long-standing tradition that starts the semester off by bringing together the most stylistically diverse faculty and students for an evening of guitar music and community.

This is the 23rd concert in the Guitar Night series, featuring faculty from the Guitar Department in solo and duo settings. Kim Perlak and Sheryl Bailey, chair and assistant chair of the Guitar Department, will share the stage with colleagues who perform in the classical, jazz, fingerstyle, folk, funk, slide, modern spontaneous composition, and blues styles.

Please join us for our annual recital of the Berklee harp students! Classical, folk, rock, jazz, blues, and original compositions will be performed. 

Boston-based pianist Sakurako Kanemitsu (G.P.D., Longy School of Music) performs a solo recital of evocative works by Berklee faculty composers Marti Epstein, Andrew List, Ryan Suleiman, and others. The Egyptian zodiac (List), imagined sounds from Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women (Epstein), and colors and movement of artist Peter London’s drawings (Suleiman) are just some of the sources of inspiration on offer in this dynamic program. Experience our multi-faceted world through the filter of the piano.

Capping off six months of collaboration with students from the Composition and Electronic Production and Design Departments, the ensemble Hypercube will perform new works for instruments and electronics.
 

Best Inventions Plus is a concert of the best student projects from the counterpoint courses taught at Berklee.
 

Nightingale Vocal Ensemble with present a workshop/rehearsal of original music written by Berklee student composers.
