Lena Zheng and Tong Hu blend jazz fusion, neo-soul, and R&B with touches of Chinese musical influence. Their recital features originals, new arrangements, and reimagined covers.
 

Assistant Professor Brooks Robertson will take the stage for a special evening of solo fingerstyle guitar. From Americana and country to blues and jazz, Robertson will perform songs rooted in the styles of legendary guitarists Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Buster B. Jones, Tommy Emmanuel, Lenny Breau, and more. 

Drum set principal Zhitang Zeng leads a band that channels its love for fusion, funk, and blues into an energetic and groove-driven performance.

Voice principal Jinyi Hua presents a set of eight songs that hold deep personal meaning, spanning genres such as pop, R&B, rock, and more. Each piece has been carefully rearranged in collaboration with her fellow artists, offering an intimate and expressive musical experience.

Paolo Valdivia and his ensemble present a colorful program of originals and arrangements, weaving Afro-Peruvian jazz, bossa nova, flamenco, and modern jazz. 

Stacey and Vicky present the Museum of Weather, a program of original songs and covers that blend elements of pop and jazz. Together, they showcase versatility, creativity, and a distinctive personal style.

Yuheng Zhu presents the world premiere of Dreams in Fragments, his first concept album blending progressive rock, jazz fusion, metal, and world music. This recital offers a first glimpse of the full work before its release at the end of the year.

Piano principal and composer Yuheng presents music from his album, Dreams in Fragments, a collection that weaves together diverse cultural influences and styles, including prog rock, microtonal music, metal, and electronic.

Vocalist Mia McIntosh and pianist Alexander Xhoja present an afternoon of jazz and Latin standards sprinkled with pop covers.
