This two-day intensive session explores the roles of the rhythm section in modern rock, common and uncommon odd-meter grooves, improvisation techniques, and the application of world music and Indian music concepts in the progressive rock setting.

Is it for me? Am I eligible?
You must be at least 15 years old by the start of the program. This program is best suited for musicians who have been playing their instrument for a minimum of six months. However, the workshops are open to all music enthusiasts.
What is the program like?
The Berklee Tandon Global Clinics for May 2017 will focus on rock and progressive rock music.
The clinics will cover the following topics, among others:
Roles of the rhythm section (keys, guitar, bass, drums) in modern rock
The band as one unit: writing, arranging, performing, and more
Odd meters
Improvisation techniques
Common and uncommon grooves
- The application of world and Indian music concepts in a progressive rock setting
A certificate of completion will be presented to participants.

What's the schedule?
Day 1 will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Day 2 will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a culminating concert by faculty from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Where will I stay?
You are required to make your own housing arrangements.
How much does it cost?
Program tuition is $75 (USD).
Payment options will be sent to accepted applicants via email.
When will I know if I've been accepted into the program?
This Berklee Tandon Global Clinic is open to all registrants until venue capacity is reached.
The priority application (enrollment and payment) deadline is May 5 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Late applicants may not be guaranteed a spot but will be put on a waitlist.
