A believer in sonic experimentation, Jimmy Lim has built a career as a performer, music director, audio engineer, and electronic composer.
Shortly after beginning his music career as a touring background vocalist in 2015, his 12-part vocal arrangements for an all-female choir won gold at an international choir festival in 2016. A two-time Berklee World Tour Scholarship recipient, Lim's career has evolved since then to encompass a diverse array of holistic experiences in the music industry, including singing at music festivals, engineering sessions, post-production work, and composing music for films.
Along with art residencies, installations, experimental audio work, and building sample packs, Lim's solo independent artist project has brought him to venues and residencies across the northeast. Several of these performances were at the 46th Asian American International Film Festival at the Museum of Moving Image, and “The Goddess Called Time” installation at Arts Letters and Numbers.
