Two Track: The Tower of Power Ensemble (Virtual Concert)

Two Track is a music video series designed for Berklee’s YouTube and social media channels that features artists in an intimate setting with only one microphone and continuous camera takes. Each recording session will revolve around a single theme (i.e., connection, love, dreams) that can be expressed by the artist either through their track selection or through a short storytelling segment that will be recorded as part of the performance. The videos in this series will premiere at specific dates and times, but if you miss the premiere, each video will be public on the channel in continuity.
This Two Track episode features the Tower of Power Ensemble performing the songs “(I Still Be) Diggin’ on James Brown” by Stephen Kupka and Emilio Castillo, and “Souled Out” by Kupka, Castillo, and Marlon McClain.
About the Artist
Berklee’s Tower of Power Ensemble is a tribute band (led by Brass Department faculty member Billy Buss) that celebrates and advances the soulful history, culture, and immense musical contributions of one of the world’s funkiest bands.
The ensemble features Joey Madison, Shaked Levy, and Kristina Rossi on vocals; Miguel Rivera and Alan Hester on trumpet; Amber Lara, Eliott Allemand, and Ryan Tharayil on saxophones; Tino Erdos and Andy Garcia on trombones; Simon Cheon on guitar; Michael Schmidt on keyboards; Anderson Mirafzali on bass; Henry Plumb on drums; and Desiree Orien Tay on percussion.
