Two Track is a music video series designed for Berklee’s YouTube and social media channels that features artists in an intimate setting with only one microphone and continuous camera takes. Each recording session will revolve around a single theme (i.e., connection, love, dreams) that can be expressed by the artist either through their track selection or through a short storytelling segment that will be recorded as part of the performance. The videos in this series will premiere at specific dates and times, but if you miss the premiere, each video will be public on the channel in continuity.

This week’s Two Track episode features singer-songwriter Emme Cannon.

About the Artist

Emme Cannon is a singer-songwriter and producer whose tunes consist of flowing ballads of life’s unpopular beauties and mystical lyricism, combining chamber pop and indie-folk genres. She recently debuted her first self-written and produced EP, Home Planet. It explores aspects of life beyond this realm and finding love in life’s uncertainty. Growing up in Virginia, nature played a huge role in the inspiration of her music, alongside her foundation in classical voice training and musical theater.

Emme has shared her “hypnotizing voice and delivery” (Tad Dickens, The Roanoke Times) with the Help Save the Next Girl Foundation, the Boston Calendar, and the Songwriters in the Round (Part IV) hosted by Corey Hunley at the iconic Grandin Theater. She currently studies music business, songwriting, and contemporary writing and production at Berklee College of Music.

Her band features Adam Schwartz on guitar, Angela Morano, Varsha Krish, and Kaia Mac on vocals, Brian Urra and Anne Preis on violins, Sarah Zahorodni on viola, and Thiago Wolf on cello.
