Jared Janzen is a native of Fort Collins, Colorado, who plays guitar and sings a mixture of genres, including folk, R&B, and rock.
Employing contemporary fingerstyle guitar with his singing, Janzen cites Andy McKee, Michael Hedges, James Taylor, and Ray LaMontagne as some of his influences. He plays in the bands Blue Taboo and Breakfast for Dinner, and collaborates with artists in Fort Collins and Boston, Massachusetts.
In spring 2015, Janzen released the solo EP Truth. Two years later, the Berklee College of Music student released the single "Magnets," and he is working on a full-length album. His band Blue Taboo recently released its second album, Oceans Rust/Morning Fog.
Janzen, currently a student at Berklee College of Music, has taught private guitar and vocal lessons for five years, and has six years of studio experience.
