Malachi Nassér will perform as part of the Fresh Prospects series—a showcase of the best up-and-coming artists attending Berklee. Nassér is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Orange, NJ. J.O.Y. reflects the kaleidoscope of color that is his life. Rooted in soul and R&B, J.O.Y. is often described as a tapestry of pain, laughter, and reflection manifested in a culmination of the artist’s life experiences. Nassér takes his audience on a lyrical journey fueled by the emotional compromise of years gone by. This young artist, who is as complex as the lyrics and music he writes, is an amalgam of life himself, rooted in his West Indian and Afro-Cuban heritage.
After his first single, "Sunrise," blew up on TikTok in 2020, Kenny Elrod knew he wanted to pursue a serious career in music. Elrod writes, produces, and records all of his pop originals from the comfort of his bedroom, and he hopes to continue doing so for a living. You can find his music on all platforms.
