Berklee Percussion Department faculty member Bertram Lehmann presents the second of a two-part series of clinics on Brazilian and Cuban drum set performance, drawing on his decades of experience as a performer in these genres, as well as his role as an instructor for courses such as Introduction to Brazilian and Afro-Cuban Drum Set and Advanced Afro-Cuban Rhythms for Drum Set at the college. Cuban drum set practice will be discussed from a variety of perspectives, including instrumental technique, musical concepts, artistic originality, and cultural context.
