Berklee Global Jazz Institute 10th Anniversary Concert
The Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) is at the forefront of interconnected music education designed to foster creativity, musicianship, and human development through an innovative curriculum, with Danilo PĂ©rez as its founder and artistic director and Marco Pignataro as its managing director.
For the 10th anniversary celebration of the BGJI, faculty will be joined by BGJI alumni from Iraq, Israel, Greece, Canada, and South Africa, among many other countries, along with Berklee College of Music students from current graduate and undergraduate programs, to perform global jazz.
Artists to perform include Joe Lovano, Terri Lyne Carrington, Tia Fuller, George Garzone, and Ben Street.
Global jazz is music that advances the mission of creating positive intercultural dialogues. It is an inclusive platform, welcoming different nationalities and instruments. Because it promotes music as a multidimensional bridge between people, global jazz creates a common language for the new millennium.
