The Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra (BCSO) presents its spring concert, Orchestral Reflections on Politics and Conflict. Join us for a glimpse into ways that composers write music that reflects on the politics and conflicts around them.

Conducted by Julius P. Williams, repertoire will include John Adams' The Chairman Dances; selections from Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 3; Rhapsodic Overture by Edmund Jenkins, edited by Tuffus Zimbabwe; Two Interlinked French Melodies from the opera Entente Cordiale by Ethel Smyth; the overture to Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko’s opera, Taras Bulba; as well as music by John Williams, reflecting on the struggles between wizards and muggles in the fantastical world of Harry Potter.
