An experienced nonprofit professional, Erik Privert is also the Director of Donor Relations with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, leading an innovative team to realize creative, strategic, and data-driven solutions. His extensive performing arts industry experience includes working as a booking agent (Harry Connick JR., Nnenna Freelon), touring as an acoustic bassist (Kurt Elling, Rachael Price), and driving fundraising operations with Boston Ballet.
In the last few years, Privert led a team that launched Departure Arts, a community arts nonprofit. With the goal of building community, Departure Arts facilitates creative collaborations, amplifies historically underrepresented artistic voices, and supports artistic risk-taking for Boston area artists, organizations, and audiences.
