Famed drummer Calvin Rodgers and Friends perform as part of the annual Berklee Drums and Percussion Workshop. The drummer will lead his Chicago-based quartet featuring saxophonist and vocalist Marqueal Jordan, keyboardist Amr Marcin Fahmy, and bassist Maurice Fitzgerald with musicality, energy, and soul. Calvin Rodgers works with Fred Hammond as drummer, cowriter, and producer. He has also performed, toured, and recorded with a wide range of notable artists including Ramsey Lewis, Aretha Franklin, the Isley Brothers, Dionne Warwick, Rachelle Ferell, and Agnes Monica, as well as a host of gospel legends including Kirk Franklin, Jonathan Butler, Marvin Sapp, Yolanda Adams, Smokie Norful, Donald Lawrence, Byron Cage, James Fortune, VaShawn Mitchell, T. D. Jakes, and George Huff, among numerous others.
