I hope students come away from my lessons with the information they need to begin to teach themselves.

As a professional guitarist of 40 years in both leader and side person roles, I have not only learned to react "in the moment" on the bandstand but have also learned the importance of being able to function in more cerebral settings of recording studios and the solitary world of writing and arranging. These aspects of my background have greatly affected the nuts and bolts of how I teach.
