Advanced Projects in Electronic Production and Design

Course Number
EP-491
Description

As the culminating experience for Electronic Production and Design majors, this course focuses on the development and completion of each student’s upper-level capstone project. Operating in a small-group mentorship setting, students conceive, design, and produce original works that demonstrate their technical mastery, creative innovation, and artistic voices cultivated throughout their time in EPD.

Projects may focus on electronic music production, sound design for visuals, immersive sound, interactive media or emerging platforms, A/V installations, electronic performance, or custom hardware and software design—reflecting each student’s unique specialization and goals. Emphasis is placed on presentation, documentation, and portfolio development as students with bodies of work that reflect both creative identity and technical excellence. Each student also participates in the departmental jury process and the public Senior Showcase, presenting their capstone project as the culmination of their Berklee experience.
