Nick Grondin Group: A View of Time and Space

From breathing to calendar cycles to the orbits of the planets, a rhythmic regularity creates the fabric of our existence. Inspired by the collective rhythms and simultaneous cycles we all feel in our lives, the Nick Grondin Group will present compositions that explore the musical qualities of space and time, and the effects they create among listeners to build community. 

The group believes in bringing together diverse musicians to play creative music that is accessible to new jazz listeners. Informed by the jazz tradition, they mix in the sounds of blues, folk, rock, and funk, with familiar sounds from popular music to create innovative arrangements in a jazz setting. They blend the sounds of guitar, vocals, saxophones, keyboards, bass, and drums into a melodic tapestry.
