Biography

As senior vice president, Erin Tunnicliffe partners closely with the president, the senior leadership team, and the Board of Trustees as an active and contributing thought leader and central architect of Berklee’s institutional advancement priorities and goals. She leads Berklee’s advancement staff, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth; building capacity and engagement among Berklee’s alumni, parents, and friends; and developing meaningful and strategic frameworks to raise the sights and involvement of volunteers and donors at all levels. Tunnicliffe guides the day-to-day management of Institutional Advancement and advises on Berklee’s ongoing efforts to fund critical areas including scholarships; diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; and new programs and opportunities for students, faculty, and staff.

Tunnicliffe brings extensive higher education advancement experience. During her 20-plus-year career at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, she held a number of positions, most recently serving as associate dean for advancement. In this capacity, Tunnicliffe led a 25-person team dedicated to coordinated major giving, the annual fund, alumni relations, operations, and board engagement to maximize philanthropy from Tuck’s community, including the design and execution of the $250 million Tuck Difference campaign. In 2021, she founded Erin Tunnicliffe Consulting to guide nonprofit leaders in fundraising strategy, organizational design, and leadership transitions. She holds an M.B.A. from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
