Tina Nospal is a pianist, educator, and researcher specializing in early childhood and inclusive music education. Originally from North Macedonia, she received her graduate degree in piano performance from Boston Conservatory, and a master’s and a doctoral degree in music education from Boston University.
Dr. Nospal teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood music education, artistic development, creativity, and keyboard skills, and supervises pre- and in-service music teachers. Her academic research focuses on inclusive and collaborative practices of music teachers within K-12 educational settings.
Prior to her appointment at Berklee, Dr. Nospal was a dean scholar at Boston University, where she held a teaching and research assistantship and served as an assistant editor of the International Journal of Music in Early Childhood published by Intellect (UK). Currently, she serves as an associate editor of the International Journal of Education and the Arts. She is a Kodály-certified music teacher and has taught piano classes and elementary music in Cambridge, Massachusetts for the past 15 years.
