In Their Own Words

"In my teaching, I frequently make connections to areas outside the field of music. My goal is to help students gain a broader, wider, and deeper perspective on what it means to be an artist and a human being in today’s world. I encourage my students to reconnect with nature, to be passionate about life, and to realize how amazing it is that anything exists at all! By focusing on and valuing the process of creating art, students will not only know what to do, but more importantly, they will know how to be in the world."
