In Their Own Words
"My goal teaching at Berklee is to help students learn health subjects relevant to them—e.g. hearing, voice, sleep, nutrition, how to stay healthy and how to know if you’re sick—but also to help them learn to ask the right questions when facing health and wellness issues, and how to identify accurate, truthful information on the internet. I want to give them the tools to keep themselves healthy—and of course, to do it in a way that is enjoyable."

"I love to teach and have been lucky to have many opportunities to do so. I have taught individuals from surgical trainees and medical students, to educating my patients during office visits. I’ve been successful at distilling health concepts into a form that is accessible and relevant, while keeping it interesting."

"My style is informal and collaborative—I avoid the droning lecture. I see teaching as a team process where my role is to guide the student to discover ideas and principles that interest them. This way, students enjoy the learning process much more and develop a broader understanding of the material and the ability to apply it."
