Duncan Cook began his teaching career as a trumpet tutor in high school as well as an intern in musical theater classes at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey. During his time earning his film and media scoring degree from Berklee College of Music, Cook spent five semesters tutoring fellow students in Berklee’s jazz harmony, conducting, and ear training curriculum as a core music tutor under Christy Mathew. Following his graduation in May 2023, he joined ICTUS Audio as a music theory tutor, continuing to teach jazz harmony and ear training to students ages 12-18 over Zoom under Yao Wang. In the fall of 2023, Cook was hired as an assistant professor in the screen scoring department of Berklee College of Music. He adores his job and is grateful for the opportunity to work with so many kind and gifted students. In his free time, he creates original works of music and sound design for clients in the video game, film, and television worlds.
