A passionate ambassador of Catalan popular music, Josep Quer offers a master class on Sardanas, the most popular of the Catalan musical genres. The class will be followed by a duo performance, accompanied by a pianist from the Berklee community, featuring music from his most recent album, Sardanes Obligades de Contrabaix: Mandatory Sardanas for Upright Bass.
Quer, a classical upright bassist, has played in orchestras such as the Euzkadi Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Great Theatre of Liceu, and the Montpellier Symphony Orchestra.
