Join us for a dynamic roundtable where we will explore the role of Black music in the Black feminist intellectual tradition. The program will allow us to ponder questions such as: what does Black Feminism sound like? How do we hear, listen, and create as Black feminists? How have Black women been creating feminist soundscapes that continue to move us? How does looking at the concept of cool through a Black feminist lens shift our understanding of sound?

The Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice presents a panel discussion about the documentary This Changes Everything. The panel features CEO of the Geena Davis Institute Madeline Di Nonno, JGJ visiting scholar Lara Pellegrinelli, a representative from the ACLU, and Terri Lyne Carrington.

The Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice welcomes Yessaï Karapetian, a multi-instrumentalist with an ambitiously wide approach to contemporary jazz.
