Loren Benn is an accomplished vocalist, fearless leader, business owner, and passionate educator known for her distinguished career in music, management, and education. With unwavering commitment and enthusiasm, over 13 years of teaching, and two decades of professional singing, Benn is driven to extend her influence into a larger sphere with structured education around financial sustainability for professional musicians and creatives alike.

Originally from Pasadena, California, and the eldest of seven, Benn was nurtured in a musical and ministerial environment where she sang alongside her family band across the state. In her teen years, she received prestigious invitations to perform for Coretta Scott King, Stevie Wonder, and Patrice Rushen. She was invited to perform at Disney’s Epcot Center's Mardi Gras parade and at esteemed venues, including the Pasadena Playhouse, the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and the Rose Parade. In her undergraduate studies, Benn pursued a degree in biology from Marymount University while concurrently holding a vocal jazz residency at Grand Annex studios in San Pedro, all before moving to the east coast.

Motivated by a passion for music therapy, Benn relocated to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music in 2013. Earning summa cum laude, she simultaneously began gigging and singing with Grammy-nominated musicians across the east coast and entered the professional voice-over world, becoming the distinguished voice of hundreds of online educational videos, including the voice of Arizona State University's entire online library. While gigging in the Boston music scene, Benn assumed a pivotal commitment in enhancing the local music economy after she recognized a need for equitable pay structures and financial sustainability among her peers. This commitment guides her in her current roles as the director of training and development for the International Artists League Boston, the largest general business band on the east coast with a roster of over 400 professional musicians, and as an associate professor at Berklee College of Music, where she teaches ensembles in contemporary Christian, R&B, jazz, and pop genres. She also sits on the board of the Boston Jazz Foundation as the director of education, where she has developed a financial literacy program specific to musicians and creatives working in the arts to further her reach and commitment to a sustained music economy.

Her recent performance collaborations with Grammy-winning artists, such as Kelly Clarkson, James Blake, and Debo Ray, underscore her continued impact and versatility both onstage and in the classroom. Notable performances include her weekly residency at the Westin Copley Place, Governor's Luncheon, First Night Boston, The Blue Note New York, Boston Common Tree Lighting Ceremony, and many other venues across the east coast. Benn’s recent speaking engagements have included the Women of Influence Brunch, BNN Media as a host, and City Women Network. She is also the founder of Benn & Company, a music management consulting agency committed to building legacy and leadership in women in the music industry. She remains connected to her faith, joy, and eternal gratitude living a beautiful life in music.
