Pop/Rock/Country Vocal Ensemble with Background Vocals

Description

This is an introductory pop/rock/country performance ensemble for voice principals. It is designed to prepare students for solo performance in ensembles and other performing venues within a specific song style. Vocalists will learn microphone technique, song style, skills for groove communication with the accompanist, and how to count off tempos of songs, . 

Building on skills acquired in ENVC-110 Introduction to Ensembles for the Vocalist or ENVC-111 Rhythm Section Grooves for Vocalists 1, students will write basic lead sheets and/or chord charts for use in class.
