Jeff Coffin is a globally celebrated saxophonist, composer, and educator, as well as a member of the legendary rock group the Dave Matthews Band. You may also know him from his 14 years and three Grammy Awards with the genre-defying Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Jeff fronts numerous groups when not touring with DMB and has released more than 20 solo CDs on Ear Up Records.
Viktor Krauss is an eclectic composer and bassist from Champaign, Illinois. He has been a presence in Nashville, Tennessee since 1992 with nearly 500 album credits as a bassist, composer, songwriter, and producer. On tour, Viktor has been Lyle Lovett’s primary bassist since 1994. He also has worked with greats like Bill Frisell, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Robert Plant, Buddy Miller, Tom Jones, Shawn Colvin, Jerry Douglas, Chet Atkins, Dolly Parton, and Elvis Costello, to name just a few.
Drummer Jordan Perlson’s career has spanned about as wide a stylistic reach as one can imagine and includes collaborations with jazz legends Seamus Blake, Gary Burton, and David Liebman; folk heroes Alison Brown and Missy Raines; reggae giants Matisyahu and Trevor Hall; and cutting edge music innovators like Becca Stevens, Snarky Puppy, Banda Magda, and Jeff Coffin. Jordan has become a known force in many musical circles, with credits on over one hundred recordings. Having taught at prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music and New York University, as well as masterclasses all over the world, Jordan is a passionate educator. He also is the author of two books for Mel Bay publishing.
Since graduating from Berklee in 2003, pianist Leo Genovese has been performing and recording constantly with musicians such as Hal Crook, Darren Barrett, George Garzone, Francisco Mela, Joe Lovano, Bob Gullotti, Phil Grenadier, Dave Santoro, Chris Cheek, Michael Janisch, and Ben Monder. He also performs regularly with esperanza spalding, the Mike Tucker Quartet, Planet Safety (with Bob Gullotti and Dave Zinno), the Wayne Shorter Group, and Jack DeJohnette.
