Join us for a dynamic roundtable where we will explore the role of Black music in the Black feminist intellectual tradition. The program will allow us to ponder questions such as: what does Black Feminism sound like? How do we hear, listen, and create as Black feminists? How have Black women been creating feminist soundscapes that continue to move us? How does looking at the concept of cool through a Black feminist lens shift our understanding of sound?
This roundtable will feature Dr. Gina Dent as the keynote speaker together with Terri Lyne Carrington, Dr. Régine Jean-Charles, Dr. Aminah Pilgrim, and Aja Burrell Wood.
